An AGI could take this to another level, understanding context and adapting to novel attack tactics in real-time. Let’s break down some of the key risks and worst-case scenarios projected by researchers and think tanks: 

  • Enhanced Threat Actor Capabilities: An AGI could turbocharge the abilities of malicious actors – whether criminal hackers, rogue states, or even the AGI itself if it acts adversarially. Routine cyberattacks that currently require human planning could be fully automated and executed at machine speed by an AGI.
